Don't Let Them Silence You!

Don't Let Them Silence You

Many people admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" Mark 10:48

Ever had someone try to keep you in a box? Keep you limited? Keep you silent? Keep you suppressed based on THEIR idea of your purpose and destiny? People like that, though may be GOOD intending, are often not led by the Holy Spirit. They are led by their flesh for various reasons - mostly selfish!

Some want to manipulate you. Some don't believe you can do better. Some don't want to see you do better. Some don't believe in your gift, calling, and anointing. Some are intimidated by what God is doing in your life. Some are just plain spiritually ignorant. Some lack faith. Regardless to "their" reason, YOU cannot miss what God has for you because you are listening to them and placing the sacredness of your purpose into their care.

The man in the above Scripture NEEDED Jesus. And he wasn't about to let anyone stop him from getting what Jesus had for him.

We all need Jesus. We need Him to show up and do some things in our lives. We need Him for:

  • Healing

  • Financial help

  • A place to live

  • A job/promotion

  • Family member salvation

  • Deliverance from an addiction

  • Reconciled relationships

  • Get out of debt

  • Marriage restored

  • Peace from anxiety

  • Deliverance from suicidal thoughts and depression

  • And so much more

There is nothing too hard for God. He has everything we need AND MORE.

There are times when we DO need to cry out! And the last thing we need are ones around us who are telling us to keep quiet. Telling us "It doesn't take all of that praying, all that fasting, all that Bible Study," Yes it does, it takes everything we can muster to let God know, unapologetically how much we need Him and we need Him right now.

For many of us, the very thing we need is IN OUR MOUTH. Open your mouth and decree a thing! Open your mouth and declare God's promises. That man believed Hebrews 4:16. He came boldly before the throne WITH CONFIDENCE to receive the mercy He so desperately needed. Now is not the time to shrink back and become silent. This is the time to pipe up and press in!

WHATEVER YOU NEED IS IN YOUR MOUTH!
