Don't be FAKE!

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:3

Fear is the counterfeit to FAITH.

They both have the power to produce what we believe. And it’s our choice which one we will activate in our lives!

Fear will produce something fake. Fake appearance. Fake joy. Fake peace. But FAITH produces what’s real. Real joy. Real peace. Real boldness. Real trust. Life is tough and rather than respond in fear, we must respond in FAITH.

As Christians, we are not expected to fake it until we make it. We are called to FAITH it until we make it. In other words, we speak, behave, and expect God to be a Keeper of His Word. We expect that God will work it out. We expect God to show up AND show out – at the appointed time! We expect that He will remain with us and not leave us like others. We expect that no matter what, nothing separates us from His love. And when we stand on these things by FAITH, there is no need to be FAKE.

Sadly, there are a lot of platforms today that makes it easy to promote fakeness. We put forward only our BEST, filtered, cropped, and enhanced images, we post only the stuff we want people to know, and we show up dressed like money and be as broke as an egg about to be scrambled! And even sadder, a lot of churches have created that same atmosphere – show up, get a Word, and go home. But there’s no real opportunity to bring your REAL issues to the altar.

God sent me today to let you know that the TRUTH is a person – Jesus (John 14:6). And the closer we are to the truth, the less we are prone to be subject to or even desire to entertain the fake! Let’s stand on the TRUTH of who God says you are today. Let’s stand on the TRUTH of what He said He will do in, through, and for you!

Life will NOT be easy. But we don't want to be like the fake dollar bill in the above image. We don’t FAKE it. We FAITH it…until we make it!
