Feeling Distracted?

During my Facebook Live this morning, I talked about how the devil is a master of distractions. If he can use anything or anyone to pull us out of the will of God, he will. And distractions are not always bad things. Sometimes it is someone we love whose issues we have made a higher priority than what God is calling us to do. Sometimes it is something we enjoy that feels easier or more comfortable than what God is requiring. They are not bad, they are simply not the focus.
When we are distracted, the main thing stops being the main thing. We can get so caught up in the wrong thing that we look up and feel lost, frustrated, discouraged, or even forgotten by God. It can feel like He is not paying attention to what we need.
I also shared that distractions only work when there is a priority in view. No priorities, no distractions.
But the moment you commit to grow, heal, or draw closer to God, distractions show up. The enemy cannot take away what God promised, but he can delay us long enough that we miss the appointed time. That is how we end up going around the same mountain again and again.
My prayer for you as we begin 2026 is that you lean into God and seek what He wants for you in this season. I pray you recognize distractions quickly and stay focused and available to His leading. I pray the goals God placed in your heart excite you and draw you closer to Him.
